New Monument for ELP in Manti - to be unveiled Memorial Day, May 26, 2014

The family of Blodwen Parry Olson, the only living granddaughter, has decided to replace the monument for Edward Lloyd Parry in the Manti City Cemetery.  Each year as we have placed flowers and otherwise visited his grave site, we have witnessed the deterioration of his present monument which was never engraved and is leaning precariously to one side.

(Since this picture was taken, it was attempted to be taken to the property of the Parry home in Manti. Unfortunately, it essentially crumbled apart in the move.)

As a descendant of this special man who did so much work on early pioneer temples we would like to give you the opportunity to contribute to the purchasing of a new monument and ask you to notify your family members as well. We have ordered a nice large monument from State Stone in Salt Lake made from Utah granite. We are hoping to have the monument installed by Memorial Day, May 26th, which also happens to be Blodwen Parry Olson's 100th birthday! The family of Blodwen is planning to have an unveiling of the monument and a celebration of her 100 years that day.

You are welcome to come and participate with us on Memorial Day. Please RSVP if interested and we will send you more information!

If you wish to contribute to the monument, please send any amount to:

Mr. Parry Olson
36 West 200 North
Ephraim, Utah 84627

Sincerely,

The Blodwen Parry Olson Family
